Daniele Pantano, 1976 in Langenthal geboren, ist in Lotzwil und Langenthal aufgewachsen. Er studierte Philosophie, Creative Writing und Anglistik an der University of South Florida, wo er danach auch unterrichtete. Ab 2008 leitete Pantano das Creative Writing-Programm an der Edge Hill University in England, wo er Professor Extraordinarious in Poetry und Literary Translation war. Der Dichter, Übersetzer, Herausgeber und Kritiker unterrichtet kreatives Schreiben an der Universität Lincoln.

Même si il est originaire de Langenthal dans le canton de Berne, Daniele Pantano a trouvé un accueil en anglais en réaction à sa langue maternelle, l’allemand. Il a reçu sa formation littéraire aux États-Unis.
Ce premier recueil traduit en français étonne par une gamme de formes variées, que Pantano maîtrise parfaitement. Avec une joie sinistre dans le chaos créatif, il voit des mondes dans lesquels la déchéance, la confusion et la mort se cachent. Il les capture par couches, éclats et reflets et les transforme en lignes d’une beauté morbide.
